The photographer Manfred Ehrenlechner, born in Germany in 1966, studied photography at a renowned advertising photographer in Munich. Soon after, he became a freelance photographer at Siemens AG as a product photographer. It follows a number of educational years, in which he produces images for the product catalogs at the studios of the Siemens AG.
In spite of the rapid photography success, he follows his second passion, yachting. He takes a break, fired by the urge of freedom. He buys a sailing yacht in Hawaii, which he restores and lives on with his partner. 15 years go by in which he does up sailing yachts and cruises the islands. The Pacific Ocean is now his home and it changes his life forever. He starts a family in that easygoing island lifestyle and is now father of three children. At present, he lives in two worlds. In one, where he travels the oceans of our planet and lives out his maritime passion, and in the world of photography, which he uses to exercise his creativity. Capturing the single special moment is just as important to him as carrying out an expressive production in a studio or at an on-location. Thereby, his passion is the narrative photography in which he tells stories through his pictures. Exhibitions:
